About Rugby BalL Sacks:

Who loves Ball Sacks?

As I was home, sick one day, I was feeling restless and decided to cut open a rugby ball that hadn't been holding air.  Having played rugby for 20 or so years, I had never actually seen the inside of a ball and I curiously sliced down one of the seams, revealing the bladder and the ample space inside.  I began super-gluing pieces of an old purse onto the outside of the ball and carrying it around.  It was the perfect purse for rugby; water-resistant from rain or socials, rugged enough to be tossed on the floor, under your chair during dinner out, and durable enough to be wiped clean with soap and water.  The more I used it, the better it looked!  Rugby players and others stopped me to ask about it and they began asking me to make them.  As time has gone on, the purses have become more intricate with sturdy zippers that are hand-sewn in with double stitched thick thread, cleat studs as feet, and a various styles that can be customized to fit the carrier.
